KUMBHALGARH FORT

''Besides sightseeing, you could go camping in the Reserve Forest around Kumbhalgarh.''

Distance from Delhi : Over 600 km.

Time taken to reach : Over 8 hours.

How to reach : Nearest railhead: Phalna.
By Road: You have to take NH 8 and drive past Behror and Shahpura to reach Jaipur. From there, drive towards Ajmer to reach Kumbhalgarh.

Why go the distance : A quaint town ideal for going in groups, Kumbhalgarh is well-connected to Jaipur, Udaipur and Jodhpur. Here, you have to visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort, a popular tourist destination. Built by Rana Kumbha of Mewar, its location was once the biggest advantage.

Things to do : Besides sightseeing, you could go camping in the Reserve Forest around Kumbhalgarh. If you are looking to stay overnight, our recommendation is book a guest house belonging to the Forest Department. There is a lot to see nearby. You can visit Ranakpur Jain temples, which is about 50 kms away from Kumbhalgarh.
