EK CHIDIYA: A SNEAK PEEK!

Rating :
''A beautiful eco-friendly holiday home, Ek Chidiya gives a feeling of home away from home, really!''

Distance : About 7 hrs by road.

How to reach : Nearest railhead: Kathgodam.
Unique facility: The place offers Pick-&-Drop facilities from NCR to Ek Chidiya. But if you are averse to long drives, you could take a train to Kathgodam and avail the pick and drop service from there. Or else, you could visit Nainital and take it from there, too.

Why go the distance : Have you ever dreamt of living in a cottage in the hills? Even if you don’t have one yet, you could stay at Ek Chidiya and fulfil your dreams. A beautiful eco-friendly holiday home towards Nainital, Ek Chidiya gives a feeling of home away from home, literally.

40 km away from the city of lakes in Nainital, this quaint place can be an ideal weekend gateway – especially during the summer months.

The cottage is owned and managed by an ex-journalist couple Anurag Tomar and Pallavi Srivastava and is surrounded by fruit orchards such as peaches, plums, pears, and more. And what’s more, you could actually pluck them from the tree and eat them. But, you can enjoy this luxury only in the peak season.

You should go to this place in a big group. Say, if you are looking at a family outing or if you want to escape with friends and celebrate your birthday in the hills or you could even take your children with your family friends to Ek Chidiya.

The cottage has four large bedrooms with attached washrooms and a common dining area. Mud-plastered walls and a stone floor gives the place a unique rustic look. All day long, you can hear bird chirping in and around the cottage and of course, if you are lucky, you could also get a chance to catch on some rare species.

Food : The Holiday Home offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the common dining area.
Kumaoni food lovers can happily dig into some gahaut, bhat dals and more.

Internet Facility : Not Available
