Manali & Rohtang Pass In Winters

''Rohtang Pass serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti valleys in Himachal Pradesh''

MANALI : Solang Valley at 12 Kms from Manali is emerging as the adventure sports capital of Himachal Pradesh. One can be a part of Winter Carnival organised here every winters that involves a host of cultural events and sports competition. Bhrigu peaks and slopes near Hamta Pass are the best slopes in the world for heliskiing. Ski slopes of Solang Nala are famous for winter sports. Manali too offers basic and advance skiing courses. One can also try Snow-Boarding too wherein one gets onto a flat board and do snow surfing. Snow-scooter rides are available here too.

ROHTANG PASS : Rohtang Pass is like a dream come true for nature lovers and an incredible experience that must be enjoyed by possibly everyone. Standing in between snow-capped mountains is bliss in winters and a treat to the eyes. The place is about 50kms from Manali and the drive is awesome and worth reminiscing. The Pass offers beautiful sights of glaciers, peaks, Lahaul Valley and the Chandra River. The twin peaks of Geypan are also visible from Rohtang. Visiting the place in Jan-Feb could be cumbersome when it snows most. So, try and make it around Oct-Nov. The snow-covered mountains provide the perfect opportunity to go skiing and snow scooter riding.
