Udaipur, Rajasthan : Call it ‘Venice of the East’ or ‘city of lakes’, Udaipur is one destination where fun is guaranteed during the monsoons. It also has a Monsoon Palace, which was earlier known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, overlooking the lake Fateh Sagar. The main attraction in the city is the Lake Palace. Remember the James Bond flick-Octopussy where a scene was shot in the Lake Palace? A must do during the monsoon months and trust us… You won’t regret it!

Meghalaya : It’s worth exploring the Monsoon Magic in Meghalaya for the city plays a perfect host to the rain gods between May and September. Forests, mountains, valleys, waterfalls and raging rivers of this area are untapped by commercialism. You could find caves, waterfalls, and rich mineral deposits all across the state caused by heavy rainfall. A must do during monsoons!

Coorg, Karnataka : Lush green landscapes, wet lands and cool breez -- You can get all these and more if you visit Coorg in the monsoon months (June-August) when the hillstation gets massive rainfall. The long stretches of coffee plantations and never ending paddy fields are sure to transport you to a different world. Of course not to forget the chirping of the birds in the dark sky!
